⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's 2020 and while there are some old school job application things that have fallen out of favor, cover letters aren't one of them!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(Though, sometimes they take the form of a cover email instead!)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are my 5 easy steps to cover letter success:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️Step 1: Header - try to have uniform formatting in all your documents and use eye catching (but not over-the-top!) fonts.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️Step 2: Salutation - Include someone's name if possible. Skip "To Whom it May Concern" and try something like "To the hiring committee" or "Dear Nursing Recruitment."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️Step 3: Paragraph 1 - personal + passionate - tell a personal story or formative patient experience.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️Step 4: Paragraph 2 - achievements + aptitude - Highlight achievements rather than responsibilities and include metrics when possible.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️Step 5: Paragraph 3 - show your value + seal the deal! - Paint a picture of how your experience matches the qualities they are looking for. Show that you are ready to be part of their team!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️Step 6: Sign off/P.S. - Use final salutations like "warm regards" or "respectfully." If you have an AMAZING accomplishment that you can use as a powerful cliff hanger, add a P.S. to get them dialing your number!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
